Developed by endurance champion Ercihan Dilari and operated by Horseback Riding Turkey, the tour reflects a strong commitment to ethical horsemanship. Horses are selected for temperament, fitness and trail experience, while small group sizes ensure safety, flexibility and personal attention throughout the journey.

Your Cappadocia horseback riding journey begins with arrival at either Kayseri Erkilet Airport or Nevşehir Cappadocia Airport. After landing, our transfer team will meet you and take you to your hotel in the riverside town of Avanos, located along the famous Kızılırmak (Red River).
Once checked in, you may relax at the hotel or explore Avanos’ traditional streets and pottery shops. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner where you meet your guide and fellow riders, receive an introduction to the route, and prepare for the riding days ahead.

After breakfast, we transfer to our ranch in Avanos where your horse will be assigned according to your riding experience. Saddles are fitted and water is packed into the saddle bags before departure.
Our trail follows the peaceful banks of the Kızılırmak River, crossing fertile plains and quiet rural landscapes. The route offers a mix of relaxed walking and controlled canter sections depending on group ability, creating a comfortable rhythm for riders.
We reach the small fishing village of Sarıhıdır, known for its calm atmosphere and riverside scenery. Horses cool down by the water while riders enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of trees.
On the return ride, we pass a well-preserved 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai, once part of the Silk Road trading route. By late afternoon, we return to Avanos and transfer back to the hotel.

Following breakfast, we return to our ranch to prepare for the day’s ride. Once equipment is checked and horses are ready, we set out along riverside paths before crossing to the opposite bank of the Kızılırmak River.
Our route continues through open farmland toward the quiet rural area of Çayağıl, offering wide views over Cappadocia’s countryside and volcanic rock formations. The trail then leads into Ak Valley (Love Valley), famous for its tall fairy chimney pillars and soft walking tracks.
Lunch is served as a picnic among the fairy chimneys, creating a memorable pause in one of Cappadocia’s most scenic valleys. After lunch, we mount our horses again and ride back toward Avanos, following a slightly different return route depending on group pace and riding conditions.
By the end of the day, riders will have experienced both river landscapes and iconic valley terrain, completing a varied and rewarding ride through central Cappadocia.

After a final traditional Turkish breakfast, guests prepare for departure. Transfers are arranged to Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport according to individual flight schedules.
Those with later flights are welcome to relax at the hotel or enjoy a last walk through Avanos before leaving Cappadocia behind.

· Travel insurance is mandatory for all riders.
· Accommodation is provided at the designated hotel for the entire tour duration.
· Daily routes may be modified based on weather or local conditions.
· Meals are traditional with fixed menus. Additional food or drink requests are not included.
· Lunches may be served picnic-style.
· Guests deviating from the standard program (late arrival or early departure) will cover any extra costs.
· Dinners may be served at the hotel or a local restaurant.
· For late arrivals on the first day, a sandwich will be provided in the room.
· Optional activities are not included in the package and are subject to extra charges.
· Transfers for evening entertainment are not included.
· Entrance fees to museums, historical sites, ferry rides, or bicycle rentals are not included. Please carry cash for these.
· Airport transfers are available between 08:30 – 18:30. Outside these hours, private transfers
can be arranged (additional charges apply).
· Minimum age: 12 years. Children below this age may join only with parents and prior approval.
Payment Plan
· A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
· The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 30 days before the tour start date.
Cancellation Conditions
· If cancellation notice is given 90 days or more prior to the arrival date, a full refund will be
