Day 1 – Arrival in Cappadocia & Orientation

Upon arrival at either Kayseri Erkilet Airport or Nevşehir Cappadocia Airport, you will be welcomed by our transfer team and driven to your hotel in Avanos, a traditional town set along the banks of the Kızılırmak (Red River).

After check-in, you may relax at the hotel or take a short walk through Avanos’ historic streets. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner where you meet your riding guide and fellow guests and receive an introduction to the week’s route and horses.
(Dinner included)

Day 2 – Riding Among Fairy Chimneys

After breakfast, we transfer to our nearby ranch in Avanos to prepare the horses and riding equipment. Saddle bags are filled with water and final checks are completed before departure.

Today’s trail follows the peaceful banks of the Kızılırmak River, leading us toward the small fishing village of Sarıhıdır. Long open tracks allow relaxed trot and canter depending on group ability, while the river scenery creates a calm and rhythmic riding experience.

Upon arrival, horses cool down by the water while riders enjoy a riverside picnic lunch. The return route passes a beautifully preserved 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai, once part of the ancient Silk Road network. We arrive back at the ranch in the late afternoon and return to the hotel.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 3 – Valleys, Plateaus & Panoramic Views

This day takes us through some of Cappadocia’s most famous and photogenic valleys. Leaving Avanos, we cross White Valley (Ak Vadi), continue through Paşabağ (Monks Valley) with its iconic fairy chimneys, and enter the spectacular Red Valley (Kızılçukur).

Lunch is served in Red Valley, surrounded by volcanic cliffs and panoramic views. In the afternoon, we ride toward the historic village of Mustafapaşa (formerly Sinasos), known for its Ottoman-era stone houses and old churches.

At our second ranch near Mustafapaşa, horses are stabled and we transfer back to the hotel for rest and dinner.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 4 – Historic Paths & Remote Routes

After breakfast, we explore Cappadocia’s main historical highlights by vehicle.

Our first stop is Uçhisar Castle, the highest rock fortress in the region, offering sweeping views of the fairy chimney landscape. We continue to Zelve Open-Air Museum, where early Christian cave churches and monasteries reveal Cappadocia’s religious past.

In Çavuşin Village, we visit abandoned Greek houses left behind during the population exchange of 1924. Lunch is taken in Avanos, featuring traditional regional dishes.

Later, we visit a family-run pottery workshop carved into volcanic rock, where clay from the Kızılırmak River has been used for over 3,000 years. Guests may try the potter’s wheel if they wish.

The day ends with visits to Paşabağ Valley and Devrent (Imagination) Valley, famous for rock formations resembling animals and human figures. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 5 – Deep Valleys & Extended Riding

After breakfast, we transfer to our ranch in Mustafapaşa and prepare for the day’s ride. Our route begins through Golgoli, one of the oldest quarters of the village, before descending toward Damsa Dam.

We pass the ancient Keşlik Monastery, dating back to the 6th century, where we pause for photos. Lunch is served at a lakeside trout farm surrounded by greenery, with vegetarian and vegan options available.

In the afternoon, we ride back along open tracks with opportunities for controlled canter, returning to the ranch in the late afternoon.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included – approx. 5–6 hours riding)

Day 6 – Final Ride & Farewell Evening

Our final riding day takes us through Pigeon Valley (Güvercinlik) and Üzengi Valley toward Ortahisar, crowned by its dramatic rock castle.

From the Ortahisar viewpoint, we admire sweeping views over central Cappadocia before climbing toward White Valley (Akvadi) at nearly 1,500 meters altitude. Soft valley tracks allow relaxed gallop where conditions permit.

Crossing Akvadi once more, we complete our journey back at our ranch in Avanos, closing the riding loop through Cappadocia’s valleys.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 7 – Departure

After a final Turkish breakfast, guests are transferred to Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport according to flight schedules. Those with late flights may relax at the hotel before departure.
(Breakfast included)
